Renewing an entire wet room and replacing individual fixtures involve different kinds of work. We review the existing room and set out exactly what your renovation includes in the quotation.
We protect the area around the work site and remove the agreed old finishes and fixtures. Access and the removal of demolition waste are planned for the property.
We review the room's condition after demolition. The surfaces and floor falls are prepared for the new wet room.
Waterproofing is part of renewing a wet room before tiling. Junctions and installation are planned to suit the property's structures.
Walls and floors are tiled with the agreed materials. Tile sizes, laying patterns and the area to be tiled are confirmed during planning.
Vanity units, mirrors, shower fittings and other agreed items are installed according to the plan. The scope of work involving building services is agreed separately.
Grouting, silicone seals and visible details are finished carefully. We review the completed bathroom with you before handover.
When to renovate
Worn finishes, dated fixtures or an awkward layout can be reasons to renovate. In a small bathroom, planning the storage and shower area can make everyday use easier.
If you suspect a moisture or structural problem, tell us what you have noticed when you first get in touch. Any necessary investigations and repairs should be defined before new finishes are planned.

Bathrooms of the same size can require different amounts of work. Beyond the finishes, costs depend on what needs removing, the condition of the structures and whether fixtures or water points will be moved.

Practical arrangements
Before work starts, check the housing company's notification, supervision and documentation procedures with the housing company or property manager. We also agree practical arrangements: working hours, access routes, protection of shared areas and moving materials.
In a detached home, planning starts with the building's structures and services, and how you will use the rooms during the renovation. If the bathroom adjoins a sauna or utility room, it makes sense to review the connections between these spaces at the same time.

The labour portion of a home bathroom renovation may qualify for Finland's household tax credit under the applicable conditions. Eligibility depends on your circumstances and the work you commission.
